Thursday came and went, and another micro date has passed. This week, I pulled out the board game Chutes and Ladders. Yes I know so juvenile, but as you probably figured out from earlier posts, I can be pretty immature. There was more to just playing the regular ole game. I had quesitons to go wit h it. Questions like: "Who was your favorite elementary school teacher."
Side note: Instead of having your spouse tell you the answer, GUESS IT!!
With each move we made, a question was presented, and we guessed the other's answer. If I guessed correctly then I got a point and vice versa. We like to call it a Chutes and Ladder's version of the Newly wed Game. At the end of Chutes and Ladders whom ever has the most points wins a back rub!!
Side note: I had the most points, but Danny insisted that I didn't keep track correctly. Soo...since we happen to both be competitive Danny insisted we ask five more quesitons and who ever had the most p…
Brinley took off at the speed of light. She always does this after a bath. I wipe her down with a towel and the moment I let go she runs as fast as those pudgy little legs will let her. She loves being free of her diaper, so this night I thought I would give her this opportunity. She raced throughout the rooms, her chunky lil bum jiggling as she bobbed. "What is it Brinley?" I perked up, staring beyond my creamy skinned child.
"Dah!". She shouted, hitting my shoulder once more, then taking a few steps in the direction she had pointed; sticking her finger out again. I stood up following Brinley who promptly marched into the living room. She stopped just before we approached the area rug. If your…
We are lucky ducks! Nonna and Pop Pop bought us tickets to the Polar Express! And yes I like exclamation points!!!
The Polar Express happens to be in New Hope PA. A charming town next to the Delaware River, filled with little shops, fancy restaurants, a canal, trail, ferry, playhouse and kids museum. I love coming here.
My hubby and I had our first date here....it was sunny and warm and the trees had leaves on them. But not yesterday, the wind was biting and our faces were rosy from the bitter temperatures. You could hear the chattering of teeth, and witness the chalky puffs of smoke from our mouths. And this is the day we decide to come early.
Once we got into the cheerfully lit and thank heavens heated passenger car, we sat down to a table with four seats. Right off the bat they handed out hot cocoas and cookies...they must have known we needed thawing.
The train began creeping out of town, and Danny and I were happy we decided to go when it was still light out, because the views…
