Caroling at Saucon Valley Manor

Such a busy weekend! After Fonthill we joined a bunch of friends at Saucon Valley Manor to go caroling. My friend Kathryn organized it passing out jingle bells to the kids, to jingle of course, sheet music with words and candy canes for the kids to hand out to the residents. There was about six families in all. What fun, and we kept warm :-)

Red Footprints

Brinley took off at the speed of light.  She always does this after a bath.   I wipe her down with a towel and the moment I let go she runs as fast as those pudgy little legs will let her.  She  loves being free of her diaper,  so this night I thought I would give her this opportunity.  She raced throughout the rooms, her chunky lil bum jiggling as she bobbed.  Oh it is heavenly to watch her waddle and march, run and skip. Elly and I began reading and going over words when suddenly a chubby hand slapped at my shoulder.  This is how Brinley catches our attention. "Dah!" Brinley yelled, pointing towards the hallway. "What is it Brinley?" I perked up, staring beyond my creamy skinned child. "Dah!". She shouted, hitting my shoulder once more, then taking a few steps in the direction she had pointed; sticking her finger out again. A Writers Group

   Well I can say that it has been quite the challenge to blog this past week...or whenever all this computer shennanigans began.  But alas I am on here......or at least till something breaks down, which can be at any moment. There is so much to write about, but I have decided put off sharing our micro date for a later time.       This morning was the first meeting of a writers group I put together.  I invited all my  "wanna be author friends"  for a meet and greet, some critiquing and a pot luck lunch.  It seemed to be a success.  After all, it has performed it's purpose: to get us all writing, and to try to better our work.  Oh I just love writers groups.  You go in there, ready to share your work.  You think, this is great stuff, I just know they are going to gush over my talent and wonder why I am not a best selling author already?!?!  Oh yes, you THINK, yo...
